Howard W. Weiss, M.D.

Dr. Weiss, the Medical Director of Medical Pain Management Services, has specialized in medical pain management since 1992. He became a Board-certified anesthesiologist in 1988 and received a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Pain Management in September 1993. He has been Chairman of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee at OSF since 2003, and a member of the Committee since 2000. He is also a member of the OSF Quality Council and Physician Welfare Committees. Dr. Weiss is Vice-President of the Illinois Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. He was an Alternate Delegate to House of Delegates of the Illinois Society of Anesthesiologists 1998-1999, Co-Medical Director of CGH Pain Center 1996-1997, Sterling, Illinois, and Medical Director at the Pain Center of Rockford Memorial Hospital 1992-1996. He was a Clinical Instructor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Rockford from 1988-1991, and since then has been a Clinical Assistant Professor.
